This 38 acre former army training camp was purchased by Square Bay in January 2011, from the Ministry of Defence. This freehold site was allocated in the North Devon Local Plan for primarily residential development. The Local Plan allocated the land for residential development with recreational open space and associated community facilities.

Planning consent for 267 homes was achieved and the site has been developed by Barratt and Bovis Homes.
